When Wood & Slumber launched last year, our aim was pretty simple: we wanted to offer a premium, responsibly sourced bedding that delivers consistent performance while supporting horse health and everyday yard life.
The response since launch has been amazing and well beyond our wildest dreams! We’re starting 2026 with a solid customer base, lots of great stockists and people up and down the country who love Wood & Slumber. They range from professional yards to private owners, and they have told us they value the quality, reliability and practicality of the product, and the confidence that comes with choosing a bedding produced with care and consideration.
As our brand continues to grow, the next natural step is working more closely with riders who use Wood & Slumber every day, and who are happy to share their experiences with others. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our Wood & Slumber brand ambassadors.
Katie Reilly – Para Dressage Rider
At just 18 years old, Grade three Irish para dressage rider Katie Reilly is a force to be reckoned with! She spent the 2025 season making her mark on the international stage, representing Team Ireland at her first ever FEI Para Dressage European Championships in the Netherlands with her talented mare Keystone Dawn Chorus (known as Lottie at home) where they scored a top 10 finish. They also travelled to Doha to compete together, and Katie rounded off the year celebrating being named Dressage Rider of the Year 2025 by The Irish Field magazine. With a hugely exciting season ahead, we’re delighted to be supporting Katie as her career continues to develop.
Alastair Ralph Racing
Based in Shropshire, Alastair Ralph is a National Hunt and Flat racehorse trainer whose yard continues to go from strength to strength. At the time of writing, Alastair has an impressive 15% win strike rate for the 2025–26 season and ONLYFORFRANKIE won by a superb 17 lengths earlier in January. We love following along and seeing where the string is being campaigned and we’re proud to work with a professional racing operation where performance starts at home.
Duble Shetland Ponies
Duble, Ditto and Calvados might be very small in stature, but in true Shetland pony style they have big personalities and they’ve built an online following to match them. The Duble Shetland Ponies social media channels offer a fun glimpse into life with three characterful ponies, sharing their daily antics and routines. And we’re pleased to report, that now includes the amazing sight of a diminutive pony ‘unwrapping’ a bale of shavings in style. They’re a reminder that great horse care applies at every level and that good bedding matters just as much for ponies as it does for competition horses.
Lucinda Atkinson
North Yorkshire-based event rider and coach Lucinda Atkinson is known for her meticulous approach to every aspect of training and horse management. Her focus on detail consistently produces results, including a brilliant win in the 2* at Belsay last season with PRF Made in England. With a really strong string of exciting young horses coming through, Lucinda’s yard is one to watch, and we’re pleased to support her with top quality bedding!
