It’s been a busy start to the year for us here at Arbor Forest Products and as we head into landscaping season, there’s no signs of slowing down.
As always, we’re grateful to all of our hard-working people for keeping things running smoothly for our customers and behind the scenes. At Arbor Forest Products, we pride ourselves on treating our team like family, and we believe this ethos has helped us not only attract some of the best talent in the industry but has also been a key reason so many have stayed with us for decades.
And as our business continues to grow, so does our team: we’re delighted to have recently welcomed three new recruits to the business. Here, we get to know our newest team members a little better.
Michael Massey
Trex area sales manager – north
What does your new role with Arbor Forest Products entail?
My key goal as Trex area sales manager is to promote sales of Trex throughout the north region, which covers everywhere from Staffordshire to the Scottish border. I’ll also be promoting Trex as a brand, working with contractors and merchants. As well as increasing sales and market share, an important focus for me is providing excellent levels of customer service and support.
Over the coming year I’ll be continuing to find my feet in this role, and I’m really excited to get stuck into working with my key merchants and contractors. I’m also looking forward to being involved as ArborFence and ArborClad are launched to the market.
What’s been your initial impression of the company and culture?
The culture here at Arbor Forest Products is based on a ‘can do’ attitude. Everyone is keen to help you achieve your goals while they achieve their own, and no problem is too big or small for colleagues to offer their help and support.
Have you decided on your favourite Trex decking product and colour yet?
Trex® Enhance Naturals in Foggy Wharf.
Lauren Bamford
Trex area sales manager – central
What attracted you to this role at Arbor Forest Products?
I have strong experience in sales, having started out in audio visual sales and most recently for composite decking which I know will be invaluable as a Trex area sales manager for Arbor Forest Products. I’m looking forward to getting to know my customers and building relationships with them.
How have you found it so far?
It’s great! Everyone I’ve met so far – both colleagues and customers – has been super helpful and friendly. I already feel like I’m part of a fantastic team.
What’s your favourite Trex product and colour?
That’s a tough one. If I had to choose I think I’d say Trex Transcend® in Spiced Rum.
Ronnie Mclean
Trex area sales manager – Scotland/Northern Ireland
Please could you tell us a little about your career so far?
Before joining Arbor Forest products recently, I’d worked for the same timber business for 18 years – 16 of which were in the company’s sales office. Adjusting to a new job in a new company after so long was always going to feel like a challenge, but everyone I’ve met and worked with so far has been so friendly and helpful which has allowed me to settle in much quicker than I expected to.
What will your new role entail?
As a regional Trex area sales manager, I’m here to build the Trex and Arbor Forest Products brands in Scotland and Northern Ireland – as well as increasing sales of both Trex products and softwood timber products. The scale and potential of this opportunity is really exciting to me.

I love the subtle colour variation of Trex Transcend® in Island Mist.
